Jenny Hand is the Chief Executive of Well for Living and LASS and also a member of the Board of Trustee’s of Apex Works.

Having previously run her own consultancy, providing inspection, quality services, training and change management for youth and community work, Jenny has tuned her focus toward the voluntary sector and has influenced decision making and change with local government.   Jenny joined LASS in 2007 and began working to set up Well for Living in 2008. 

Jenny has been involved in strategic developments focussing on young people and adult guidance through 20 years work at Connexions and prior to that the National Youth Agency and local youth services in Coventry and Leicester.

Jenny has a proven track record and is skilled in a variety of areas including, social enterprise, stakeholder engagement, change management, community engagement, workshop facilitation and policy.


Jenny is passionate about the work of LASS. She works tirelessly to both promote the organisation and also to extend and improve the services that LASS offers to those affected by HIV/AIDS. She is extremely knowledgeable, sharing her experiences to help partners working with her and LASS

Jenny has this conscientious but steely determination to make necessary changes and this has led her to set up social enterprise business within LASS; Jenny has also successfully gathered CEOs from various local voluntary organisations to form a VCS CEO Forum in Leicester which continues to flourish to this day.
